Baruj Salinas

The Foundation Maria Zambrano gladly organized this in collaboration with the Centre for Contemporary Art of Velez-Malaga “Francisco Hernandez”, an exhibition showcasing the work of Cuban artist Baruj Salinas, who was a dear friend of Spanish philosopher Maria Zambrano, with whom he collaborated on several occasions for book covers and other projects.

The exhibition explores the work of Salinas and the inspiration taken from conversations he had with Zambrano, as well as referring to her book “Claros de Bosque.” The works exhibited are both part of the artist’s collection as well as that of the late Zambrano, who had great admiration for Salinas’s art. “Baruj Salinas: Encuentro con la Belleza” will open starting September 2022 through January 2023.
