Connie LLoveras’s work is based on the observations she makes of the world about her. Her titles are based on a nomenclature where she names the items present in the painting, but it tells us nothing about the concept and message behind it. Her objects are familiar, they are found in everyone’s homes or surroundings, but the story behind them is highly personal given they are used according to their author’s personal experiences and preoccupations. “Red Shape with Bowl” is an attractive piece, especially because of its contrasting complementary hues which create a beautiful vibrancy that heightens the overall aesthetics of the piece.
