Dora Aguero
September 1, 2018

Alan Manuel Gonzalez has always defined his work as visual poetry. The primary purpose of his practice is to portray an array of symbols that join to convey a message that demands attention from the viewer. He focuses on issues of the human condition, especially those lived by his fellow countrymen in Cuba. “Deaf Bubble” showcases several scenarios where we can see the topics that Gonzalez focuses on, depicted inside bubbles that let the viewer see everything clearly and which could burst at any moment.

This exhibition ran from the beginning of September 2018 through October 31st, 2018.
