Artwork Description

“Danza XXIX” (Dance XXIX) by Magdiel García Almanza is a mesmerizing celebration of rhythm, motion, and sensuality. Handcrafted from rare, centuries-old recycled woods sourced from Cuba’s historic colonial homes, the sculpture captures the dynamic essence of dance in an abstract yet deeply evocative form.

The interplay of flowing curves, layered elements, and rich textures creates a sense of movement frozen in time. The polished wood surfaces, accented by subtle touches of vibrant color, draw the eye to the piece’s dynamic core, where geometry and emotion meet. The title, Danza (translated as Dance), evokes the universal language of expression through movement, embodying themes of grace, passion, and vitality.

Through this work, García Almanza weaves together the tactile warmth of natural materials with the cultural depth of his Cuban heritage, resulting in a timeless masterpiece that invites reflection and emotional connection.
