“Dichosos los que…” – Galeria Collage

Dora Aguero
September 1, 2011

A source of constant inspiration for Alan Manuel Gonzalez is passages from the Bible, which he uses to set the ground for commentaries about the human condition in his visual practice. “Dichosos los que…” (Blessed are those…) takes from the gospel according to Matthew chapter 5, which Gonzalez uses to create a visual commentary using the palm as a symbol for people living under social and political constraints.

The exhibition ran from September 2011 through November 2011 at Galeria Collage, Havana.
